Mongla Port Agency Services
Vessel approaching the advised Fairway or pilot position, proceeding through the Pashur River, awaiting an anchorage or mooring, or working at a public or private facility. Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) coordinates the local attendance and keeps the appointing principal updated throughout the call.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows the appointed Mongla call from nomination and initial vessel review through Fairway arrival, pilot movement, anchorage or berth operations, cargo completion, outward clearance, and sailing.
The principal receives one reporting line covering ETA changes, Fairway arrival, pilot status, river movement, vessel position, cargo operations, local attendance, delays, expected completion, and departure.
The Proforma Disbursement Account, additional-cost approvals, service attendance, available supporting records, and Final Disbursement Account remain connected to the confirmed appointment.
The operations desk reviews the vessel particulars, arrival and sailing drafts, cargo, ETA Fairway, intended working position, receiver or terminal, pilot requirement, service attendance, and reporting instructions.
Where vessel dimensions, draft, cargo type, berth expectation, private facility, mooring, lighterage, or technical attendance requires further confirmation, the unresolved point is returned before arrival.
Draft, LOA, channel position, pilot boarding, river movement, berth acceptance, and facility limits are reviewed against the vessel particulars and the latest Mongla Port Authority, pilot, receiver, and facility instruction.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows the vessel’s ETA at the advised Fairway or pilot position, arrival readiness, pilot boarding status, river-entry programme, and movement sequence.
Any change affecting pilot attendance, river passage, anchorage arrival, berth timing, cargo readiness, or onboard services is reported to the Master and appointing principal.
Pilotage, boarding position, working channel, movement timing, and night-navigation eligibility remain call-specific. The current Mongla Port Authority and pilot instruction controls the operating position for the vessel.
The Pashur River passage is a defining part of a Mongla call. Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows pilot status, vessel movement, intended anchorage or berth, receiving readiness, and revised arrival timing.
The Master retains navigational command. Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) supplies the latest movement information received for the appointed call without replacing the pilot, Mongla Port Authority, Harbour and Conservancy Department, or bridge team.
A Mongla call may involve river anchorage, a swinging mooring, public jetty, private facility, or another confirmed working position.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) coordinates launch or river transport, representatives, crew, surveyors, stores, spares, technicians, and other instructed attendance against the vessel’s live position and access route.
Movement between Fairway, anchorage, mooring, and berth remains dependent on the vessel particulars, pilot or authority instruction, traffic, river conditions, facility readiness, and the operating window.
The duty desk follows the nominated public jetty, private jetty, industrial terminal, power-project facility, LPG terminal, or other confirmed receiving interface.
Berth or facility acceptance remains specific to the vessel, cargo, draft, LOA, receiver, handling equipment, safety requirements, and current facility permission.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) reports the current receiving position and does not treat historic facility descriptions or project targets as present vessel acceptance.
Loading or discharge operations remain under follow-up against the vessel, stevedore, receiver, terminal, cargo interest, transporter, and survey position.
Depending on the appointment, operational reporting may cover:
Cargo commencement
Gangs and equipment
Quantity handled
Balance onboard
Lighter or barge attendance
Operational stoppages
Survey attendance
Receiver or transporter position
Revised completion
Sailing outlook
Where an SOF or owner-side operational record forms part of the appointment, reported events remain aligned with the available vessel and shore information. Commercial interpretation of laytime or charter-party terms remains with the responsible principal and its advisers.
Where cargo is transferred through lighter vessels or barges, Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows craft placement, cargo readiness, receiving instructions, equipment, surveys, cargo progress, interruption, and the expected completion position.
Where instructed under a separate logistics scope, the operations desk may also follow the agreed river or inland handover point. Physical transport, cargo custody, receiving acceptance, and inland delivery remain with the responsible carrier, receiver, transporter, and cargo parties.
Project and heavy-lift calls are reviewed against unit dimensions and weights, vessel gear, lifting plan, shore equipment, berth or anchorage position, survey attendance, storage, receiver readiness, and onward transport.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) coordinates the local attendance and reports equipment readiness, cargo progress, operational delays, and handover status. Lifting approval and technical execution remain with the vessel, stevedore, appointed lifting specialist, surveyor, receiver, and facility.
After cargo and vessel requirements are completed, Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows the outward local position, pending clearance, pilot readiness, river movement, and departure.
The final call report confirms cargo completion, services completed, outward status, actual sailing, supporting records received, approved local expenses, and remaining local actions.

Concise Mongla Operating Guide
This guide provides a call-planning framework, not navigational approval. The Master retains navigational command. Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) follows the latest Mongla Port Authority and pilot position for the appointed vessel.
The first brief should identify the advised Fairway or pilot position, river movement, vessel particulars, intended working location, receiver, cargo, and required services before arrival.
Send the vessel’s LOA, beam, arrival draft, expected sailing draft, manoeuvring particulars, cargo, ETA Fairway, and intended working position. Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) will return the available local review against the latest Mongla position.
Pilotage, boarding location, night movement, VHF channel, tug requirement, and transit timing should not be represented through fixed website instructions. The current vessel-specific instruction controls the movement.
Tide, current, river conditions, visibility, monsoon weather, and cyclone-related instructions may affect pilot boarding, river passage, launch services, cargo working, crew transfer, and vessel movements.
Completed, ongoing, and planned dredging work can have different depth objectives and completion periods. Project targets should not be presented as current guaranteed depth.
Public berth, anchorage, mooring, private jetty, industrial facility, LPG terminal, or project location remains vessel-, cargo-, receiver-, and permission-specific.

Owners’ Protective Attendance
Where another party holds the full agency appointment, Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) can maintain an independent reporting line covering Fairway arrival, pilot movement, vessel position, anchorage or berth status, cargo progress, lighterage, SOF events, surveys, delays, protests, local expenses, and departure.
The full agent retains the appointed port-call responsibilities. Protective attendance remains separate and does not interfere with the existing agency line.
Crew Change and Representative Movement
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) reviews Immigration attendance, airport routing, hotel, road transfer, launch or river movement, vessel boarding, sign-off, baggage movement, and repatriation against the crew nationality, travel documents, vessel position, weather, and available transfer window.
The actual airport, road, hotel, and river-transfer route is confirmed for the individual crew or representative movement. Identity records and travel documents move through the confirmed business channel, not a public form.
Husbandry, Surveys, and Ship Spares
Provisions, stores, fresh water, cash to master, medical attendance, technicians, representatives, local transport, and accommodation are coordinated against availability, approval, vessel position, facility access, and the workable delivery window.
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) coordinates draft, bunker, cargo, condition, damage, on-hire, off-hire, P&I, class, flag, and other separately appointed attendance. The surveyor remains responsible for methods, findings, certificates, and signed reports.
Spare deliveries can be followed from pre-alert and nominated Customs or C&F support through local transport, river or launch delivery, vessel receipt, and return documentation. Release, vessel position, weather, and access control the actual delivery window.
Separately instructed cargo transfer, lighterage, storage, equipment, road or river transport, and final receiving follow-up remain subject to the nominated provider, receiver, transport plan, cargo custody, and approved commercial scope.
Cost and Disbursement Reporting
Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) prepares the PDA or attendance-cost basis against the vessel particulars, call type, intended river and working position, cargo programme, service requirements, and information available at the time.
Where pilot, river movement, anchorage, mooring, berth, facility, lighterage, attendance, delay, or service requirements change, material additional costs are reported for approval before commitment where advance authorization remains workable.
The Final DA is returned against the confirmed appointment with the available vouchers, credits, advances, and outstanding cost position.
Operational Delays Under Follow-Up
The new pilot or movement position, expected effect on vessel arrival, and next confirmed review point are reported.
The revised vessel location, receiver or facility status, service implications, and cargo effect are passed to the principal.
Crew, surveyor, representative, spare, stores, or technical attendance is revised against the next workable movement window.
Available resources, cargo impact, responsible party, and revised working position remain under follow-up.
The duty desk reports the receiving issue, effect on cargo commencement or vessel movement, and available local option.
The latest quantity, balance, operating reason, revised completion, pilot position, and sailing outlook are issued.
Outstanding clearance, pilot availability, river conditions, weather, traffic, or another confirmed factor is reported with the next expected movement review.
