Chattogram
Primary desk for vessel calls, anchorage work and separately instructed marine support.
Tell Chittagong Port Agent (CPA) who is appointing the service and what CPA must arrange in Bangladesh. State the represented interest, service, vessel or equipment reference, location, timing, paymaster, approval contact, and reporting recipients. CPA opens the local file, identifies missing facts, and reports until close-out.

First Message
Send the facts needed to identify the instruction and next decision. Confidential documents follow after the Duty Desk confirms the business channel.
Company, represented interest and the contact authorised to confirm scope.
Required service, vessel or equipment reference and the immediate operating issue.
Chattogram, Mongla or confirmed Matarbari assignment, together with ETA, working window or required date.
Paymaster, invoice recipient, approval contact and any same-day decision deadline.
Operational recipients and any owner-only or restricted distribution.
State the immediate answer required from the desk rather than sending a long background email.
Confidential documents: Send only the non-confidential opening facts in the public form. Keep detailed files for the controlled follow-up.
Desk Updates
The service determines the update. CPA keeps the instruction, approval line, reporting recipients, and outstanding items clear throughout the assignment.
CPA confirms the responsible contact, accepted scope, and missing facts.
CPA states the work required, responsible provider, operating effect, cost basis, and approval deadline.
CPA reports the confirmed position, delay or exception, next responsible party, and next update point.
CPA returns the agreed service records, approved local costs, and every item still outstanding.
Appointment Boundaries
The represented interest, service scope, payer and approval contact must be clear before CPA commits a separate local service or third-party cost.
A quotation, PDA or local-information reply records the facts and assumptions available. It does not appoint CPA.
CPA commits local work only after the written instruction confirms the represented interest, service scope, and responsible desk.
State the paymaster, invoice recipient, and any advance-funding requirement before CPA places the order.
Name the person authorised to approve the quoted cost, waiting, changed scope and additional attendance.
A vessel or cargo nomination does not automatically authorise owner-protective, crew, husbandry, survey, spare, NVOCC or ISO tank expenditure.
If one company approves cost for another, state that authority clearly before CPA places the order.
Primary desk for vessel calls, anchorage work and separately instructed marine support.
CPA checks each river, berth, mooring, or service assignment against the vessel’s actual position.
Accepted only against a confirmed vessel, facility or project assignment with a clear local interface.
