Matarbari Nomination: Facility and Operator, Not Open Port
Matarbari support is assignment-based. An unqualified 'appoint for Matarbari' instruction is not a complete nomination.
Practical position. CPA does not accept general open-terminal nominations for Matarbari. The brief needs the facility or operator, access route and written acceptance for the stated window. Design depth and project schedules are not current movement approvals.
CPA may support Matarbari-related work when the facility assignment, project assignment and vessel assignment are clear. It does not maintain an implied general-port desk and does not accept unrestricted Matarbari appointments as if Matarbari were a routine alternative to Chattogram. Matarbari attendance remains assignment-based; commercial-port design figures are not current open-port availability.
Minimum nomination content
Named facility / terminal context; Project or cargo principal identity at planning level; Vessel particulars and window; What attendance is actually required; Who is paymaster.
Current-fact control
Port capability, access rules and working limits change with project phase and operator instruction. Confirm primary-source status for the actual assignment and date. Do not plan Matarbari as interchangeable with Chattogram GCB/NCT style berth working.
If the principal only knows ‘Matarbari’ without facility or project context, the correct agency response is to request particulars, not to invent a general-port acceptance.
Assignment-qualified support can still be precise: name the vessel window, the attendance required, and the paymaster once the facility context is clear.

Send the relevant charterparty or MOA, notices, SOF, invoices, claim correspondence, vessel schedule and P&I or insurer contact. CPA can preserve records and coordinate local attendance; legal advice, security and court action remain with appointed counsel and insurers.
